Lindsay is clinically supervised by Carlin Palme (RP #5637) for the duration of her practicum - September 2024 to April 2025.
Could you imagine a life where you felt less anxious, less stressed, less depressed?
What if you learnt tools to help you cope with life differently?
What if you woke up tomorrow and something had shifted for the positive what would that be?
As an intern therapist under clinical supervision, I will offer you that safe space to feel heard and explore what is happening for you in the present moment, understand how the past has impacted this, and build a new set of skills to engage in life with. A set of skills that allows you the opportunity to communicate your needs and wants, engage in the world around you, and enhance your overall well-being.
Understanding that you are the expert of yourself, I provide you the space to be seen, heard, and accepted as your authentic self. Together we will build a treatment plan that is right for you.
Do we delve into Existential Therapy to tackle the anxiety that occurs when confronting free-will, self-determination, and meaning in your life? Or, do we need to slow life down with the implementation of Mindfulness to be present in your daily thoughts, feelings, and experiences? Possibly you are looking to learn how to non-judgmentally accept yourself and build towards positive change through Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
What I am getting at here is that therapy is not one-size-fits-all. My role is to bring an eclectic tool box of therapies and techniques so that I can meet you where you are at. Together we can tailor support that will bring you a sense of comfort and control in your life.
I incorporate a Person-Centered approach, Mindfulness, Existentialism, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and more.

Self-Disclosure
Some people take a straight line to get from A to B in their life. My path took a few turns and loops to end up where I am. From each different adventure, I believe that we learn how to move forward. Within the different experiences, I have learned how to work through depression, build healthy coping skills around anxiety, and create a foundation of self-worth.
At this point in life, I have been a daughter, sister, athlete, student, wife, and mother. Each stage of life brought new roles and required adjustments to handle them in a healthy way. This has built the foundation of compassion and empathy that I bring forward with each person I meet.

Lindsay the Person
What has been your favourite age growing up and why?
Tricky question! Each chapter brings about new adventures.
In my 20's I was able to focus on me, travel and adventure filled my days.
In My 30's the focus changed to my role as a wife and mother. These new roles allowed me the opportunity to share life and witness the world through my children's perspective.
Do you live by any words of wisdom, or a motto? If so, care to share it?
When one door closes a new one opens.
If you could snap your fingers and make the world better, what would you do?
For everyone to have the skill of active listening and honesty to build effective communication and support around the world.
