Are you struggling to cope with overwhelming emotions or stress?
Are you looking for a safe and supportive space to explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment?
Meet Laura.
As a psychotherapy intern offering affordable therapy, Laura is on a journey to empower individuals in navigating life's challenges. Together you'll tackle everything from daily stressors to the more persistent thinking and behaving patterns that are more difficult to identify and change. As a compassionate advocate for mental health, she is committed to providing you a safer and more supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment.
Laura takes a collaborative and person-centred approach, which means that she values your unique perspective and experiences. She will bring a wide range of tools and frameworks to your work together, but she also knows that you are the expert on your life and your experience. You will work as equal partners in your therapeutic journey, with your goals and preferences guiding your sessions. Laura’s approach is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and respect, and she believes that every individual has the capacity for growth and self-discovery. Drawing upon evidence-based techniques like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, emotion-focused therapy (EFT) and others, Laura is here to support your growth and healing.
With Laura, you're not just getting help—you're getting a partner in your journey.

Laura the Person
If you could snap your fingers and make the world better, what would you do?
All human beings have the capacity for empathy. If I could snap my fingers, I would have everyone tap into this to foster greater understanding and connection.
What has been your favourite age growing up and why?
Now! At the age of 40 I choose to make a big career transition which put into motion a journey of self-discovery. I am now living a life aligned with my purpose and values.
What's next on your bucket list? What would you like to try, do, taste, experience, see?
A road trip to the east coast of Canada. I have not travelled across Canada much, and would to experience the diversity of where we live.
