Do you tend to get overwhelmed prioritizing tasks, maintaining focus, or managing time? Do you often feel intensive emotional responses to occurrences in your everyday life?

Managing the ebbs and flows of  ADHD and mood disorder symptoms without feeling equipped can feel overwhelmingly confusing, causing you to feel misunderstood and isolated from the experience of others.

Hi there! My name is Andie, and I am a dedicated therapist-in-training committed to helping individuals navigate their unique journeys toward healing and self-discovery.

As a neurodivergent therapist with ADHD and anxiety, I understand the challenges of navigating a neurotypical world. My personal experiences shape my approach, which is eclectic and holistic. I use a variety of methods to meet your unique needs and provide effective strategies to help you adapt and thrive in daily life.

With hands-on experience in addressing grief, loss, and life transitions, I have witnessed the emotional, mental, physical and spiritual obstacles of these complex and difficult life experiences. Life can feel unpredictable or like nothing makes sense, which can make it feel like you are out of control with your own life.

Through a supportive, reflective, and safe environment, I aim for care to stem from an authentically compassionate framework, considering the unique elements that make you, YOU. As your therapist, I believe in walking with you through your journey, allowing you the agency to direct goals that are meaningful for your development. This helps you use your independence and strengths.

I use a variety of approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), person-centered/humanistic approaches, psychodynamic therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT).

My goal is to create a space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and develop strategies to navigate life's challenges. Together, we will work towards your personal growth and well-being.

Andrea the Person

What’s next on your bucket list?

Next on my bucket list, I aspire to obtain my motorcycle license, relishing the thrill of the open road and the sense of freedom it brings. I also plan to start archery training, honing my focus and precision. Additionally, I aim to participate in an Ayahuasca retreat in Costa Rica, immersing myself in the lush natural surroundings and deepening my spiritual journey through therapeutic psychedelic experiences.

Do you live by any words of wisdom, or a motto? If so, care to share it?

This pearl of wisdom was said to me by my father when I was growing up, which allows me to change the way I view progress or achievement of any goal :

“It's never how you start, but how you finish".

Life is not a linear process, and neither is healing or improvement. There is no 'one way' or particular timeframe to do things

What's one thing that can instantly make your day better?

The trill of my cat, Gatto; the sound of laughter; feeling the warmth of the sun and a strong breeze

My goal is to empower you to achieve a deeper understanding of yourself, develop resilience, and create meaningful and lasting changes in your life.
