Have you ever felt unsure of how to move forward? Life can be challenging at times, leaving us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, burnout and alone. Sometimes, that pain even leaves us feeling disconnected from what matters most, overwhelmed with emotion and unsure of what to do next.
Meet Alexandra.
Practicing through an integrative lens, Alexandra will work with you to unlock your innate sense of resiliency. She understands that sometimes emotions can be big and overwhelming, while other times they can be subtle and go unnoticed. Also, it’s not unlikely that sometimes these emotions will spill over, causing disruption in our everyday life. Through an evidence-based approach, Alexandra will work with you to enhance your self-awareness, nourish your strengths, increase your emotional stability, and explore healthy and adaptive coping mechanisms. She truly believes you are the expert of your own journey and for that, values working collaboratively in order to ensure your unique needs are met.
Alexandra has spent the last 8 years working in health promotion and suicide prevention in the Hamilton community. This experience has brought her a deep understanding about our innate need for human connection, while also appreciating the power of vulnerability. She provides a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space to be yourself, while also integrating aspects of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy to foster meaningful change.
Due to her own personal journey, Alexandra is deeply compassionate and eager to provide care to folks who have lost their sense of direction, can’t find hope, and are overcome by emotion.

Alexandra the Person
If you could snap your fingers and make the world better, what would you do?
I would give everyone the gift of kindness, both for themselves and for others. I truly believe that no act of kindness is ever wasted and even the smallest acts has the potential to change someone’s life.
Do you live by any words of wisdom, or a motto? If so, care to share it?
Two of my favourite mottos are:
“Great things never come from comfort zones” and “Sometimes you win and sometimes you learn”.
What's one thing that can instantly make your day better?
Definitely a run in nature but more often than not, a good cup of hot coffee!
